According to the statement made by the university, CÜSEM received the title of “UAV Training Authority” from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
CÜSEM Director Assoc. Dr. Enis Baha Bicer stated that UAVs started to be used widely in the last quarter century with the developing technology, and today they have become an indispensable equipment in almost every field from art to war.
Emphasizing that it is not possible to use UAVs without a pilot’s license, Biçer said, “In this direction, UAV pilot training has gained importance. Until now, there were no institutions in our province that gave this license, or there were people who went to other provinces for this training or authorized organizations to organize this training in our province. He came from other cities. When he shared the subject with our rector, with his consent and support, we started to work in this context and made our application. ” used the expressions.
Biçer stated that, after a long and intensive evaluation process, they were awarded by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure General Directorate of Civil Aviation to become an authorized institution to provide training in UAV0 and UAV1 categories.
