According to the statement made by the BTSO, GUHEM, which came to life with the vision of the room in 2013, continues to work to raise awareness in children and young people at the point of space and aviation.
The center, which was opened last year, has completed its preparations for online training for high school students and teachers. The trainings organized in cooperation with the BTSO and the Provincial Directorate of National Education and TEKNOSAB will begin in June. Within the scope of the protocol, trainings will be organized through the zoom program in 66 schools consisting of vocational, technical and science high schools.
In the program, students will ask questions to teachers. Space and earth in education, orbits of satellites, observation satellites, navigation satellites, newsIntegration satellites, working principles of satellites will be explained.
In the trainings where information about GUHEM will also be given, the principles of launch systems, the history and present of manned space flights are also Turkey‘s work on space will be explained. At the end of the training, competitions will be held on social media to increase the motivation of the students. Within the scope of the competition, in addition to surprise gifts, the first 3 students will be given a trip to GUHEM with their families.

BTSO Chairman of the Board İbrahim Burkay, whose evaluations are included in the statement, explained that they brought GUHEM to Bursa in order to create excitement and awareness about space and aviation under the leadership of BTSO.
Burkay stated that there are 154 interactive devices and various simulators in the center, which was established with the cooperation of the Metropolitan Municipality and TÜBİTAK on an area of 13,500 square meters, and stated that GUHEM is a new milestone in Turkey’s journey in space and aviation.

Provincial Director of National Education Sabahattin Dülger stated that, with the motto “Future is in the skies”, important moves have been made in the field of aviation in Turkey recently.
Dülger said, “This work, which we will implement through GUHEM in cooperation with BTSO and TEKNOSAB, will be a comprehensive program that will increase the awareness of our students in the field of aviation and space technologies, on the way to the ‘future’ imagination, which is the basis of our 2023 vision, which we traveled under the leadership of our ministry.
