Snapchat is one of the most used social media platforms. It allows you to share videos, photos, texts and even call your friends and family. Usually iOS and AndroidAlthough it is downloaded as an application, it can also be used on the desktop. You can do this by following the simple steps below.
Download Snapchat on PC
Before we get started, it’s important to know that you cannot download the Snapchat app from the App / Play Store. You cannot download it from the web, either. To perform this process, you must actually download an Android emulator.
Now, “What is the Android emulator?” you might ask. This is software that simply simulates an Android device so you can enjoy games Google Play StoreInstead of installing it, you can extract it directly from your desktop. BlueStacks is one of these software. It supports hundreds of games and is probably the most widely used software for playing Windows PC games. Here’s how to access Snapchat via BlueStacks.
Downloading Snapchat with BlueStacks
First of all, let’s point out that we do not take any responsibility for whether this method or any of the methods listed here will work for you. In the past, users have encountered crashes and annoyances on BlueStacks that were purely app-related. Snapchat does everything in its power to prevent its users from accessing the platform via third-party apps such as BlueStacks. In some cases, it even succeeded. Therefore, you can still follow these steps, but you may still encounter login issues or delays when you access Snapchat. Remember that this is perfectly normal.
On your computer, go to bluestacks.com/download in your preferred web browser. Click the bright green “Download BlueStacks” button that appears in the upper right corner of your screen.
Once your file is downloaded, double click on it.
A window will open asking for installation. Click “Install now” and do not close any windows. Wait until the setup is complete before opening it.
When done, go to Google Play Store. Click “Sign In” and enter your login information in the appropriate boxes.
You should be directed to the Google Play Store, which should appear as similar as on an Android device. Type “Snapchat” in the search field at the top and hit the Enter key on your keyboard.
Once you see the application, click the dark green “Install” right next to the application. Wait for it to download, then click “Open” with the same dark green option.
Snapchat will open itself on BlueStacks. The software should be formatted in tabs just like on a regular Android device. Enter your e-mail address / username and password to log in. or create a new account to log in.
And that’s it! You should be able to access your Snapchat account via software. If you research the software further, you will find that you can do the same with hundreds of games and applications. Your desktop will eventually become your Android screen. You can also do this using other software like Nox App Player and Remix OS Player, but let’s just say the process might be a little different.
If you run into any issues accessing Snapchat from BlueStacks or elsewhere, the cause is probably not the software but Snapchat itself. There is not much you can do about it other than contact Snapchat Support and ask them to allow third-party apps.
