Today is June 20… market day… we have stepped into the summer season, we will experience the summer solstice and the longest day on June 21, then the days will start to get shorter…
A few days later, an important date for full moon enthusiasts is June 24, the time of the Rose Full Moon.
In North America, the June full moon is named after the most vibrantly colored fruit of the season; Strawberry Full Moon. This full moon, also known as the Full Rose Moon in Europe, is seen as the herald of hot summer months in different cultures, so some people have called it Hot Full Moon.
Looking at the South Pole, this full moon is known as the Oak Moon, the Cold Full Moon, or the Long Night Moon. In China, they’ve come up with a name for the June full moon that’s nicer than any of them: Lotus Bear.
Every year, when the lotus starts to decorate the Beijing lakes with summer rains, everyone goes to see these flowers because the prayers they sent to the dragon prince were accepted and the blessings were everywhere.
In addition to the Lotus celebrations, the shining full moon in the sky also participated in these celebrations with its light.
Since the pink lotuses in the Winter Palace lakes will present an even more magnificent view with this moonlight, we are sure that the guests who go on a trip this month will have quite magical moments.
