Studies are carried out to ensure digital transformation in the central industry, which is located in Mersin-Tarsus Organized Industrial Zone and has state-of-the-art machinery.
In the center, studies are carried out on the digitalization and production efficiency of enterprises within the scope of industry 4.0, enabling companies to take part in the market more effectively and competitively.
With the consultancy and training service provided, the companies have drawn up their own roadmap and continued their work, while the production of many companies that have been trained so far has increased.
The center, which also provides foreign trade training to companies, enables businesses to reach the foreign market more easily and contributes to their exports.
At the center, companies are given trainings for 4 to 6 months on new product creation, technology development, product, market and marketing.
Factories receiving consultancy from Mersin Model Factory and Innovation Center also have the opportunity to receive significant grant support from Çukurova Development Agency and KOSGEB.
Mersin Model Factory and Innovation Center Deputy Director Bahittin Aslan told Anadolu Agency (AA) that it is a great advantage to have the model factory and innovation center under the same roof in Mersin.
Noting that the work at the center continues at full speed, Aslan noted that the center’s target policy is to bring companies to a better level.
Stating that they are working with many companies, Aslan said:
“Human, machine, method and material are important in companies. We also show the most appropriate use of these four inputs. At the center, we show these inputs to companies both theoretically and practically. We also go to the company and do the same work on the company’s own product. They learn this business after applying it to their own products. One of the biggest goals of the model factory is to create innovation and efficiency in companies. We will always keep in touch with companies and they will make what they experience here permanent in their businesses.”
Stating that the center is in a position to guide the companies in productivity issues, Aslan emphasized that the companies that receive training from this center are in a good position in the market.
Mentioning that the recycling of the work at the center was positive, Aslan said, “One of our company was having difficulties in terms of market and marketing. Currently, it can export to 12 countries. With our efforts, our companies have the opportunity to reach more markets. One of our goals is to contribute to the companies to produce the highest quality product with the least cost. ” he said.
Explaining that companies have increased international competition with the work at the center, Aslan said:
“Our companies that will receive support from here are given serious grants by Çukurova Development Agency and KOSGEB. Mersin Model Factory and Innovation Center will lead to a big leap not only in Mersin but also in Turkey’s industry. Companies will come to unexpected places. Thus, they will find a place for themselves in better places, much more competitively. “

Mustafa Ulusoy, the operating manager of a company that produces agricultural and packaging tools used in greenhouses, emphasized that they received a 4-month training from Mersin Model Factory and Innovation Center.
Expressing that this training was very productive, Ulusoy said, “We have achieved very serious gains with the training. We have made many improvements in our company with the model factory. Our daily average vehicle production was at the level of about 2.2. As part of the trainings we received from the model factory and the work we did together, we have now reached the capacity of making 6 vehicles. . That’s a very good recovery. It’s a fantastic result for us.”
Ulusoy stated that they are now in a position to compete very well with their competitors in the market, and that they see the economic benefit of the increase in the speed of their production.
