Generally, any app or game you installed from Play Store can be uninstalled. Exceptions to this include some apps that come preinstalled on your phone or tablet. Sometimes you can “disable” these apps, but not always.
Uninstall Android Apps
There are two ways to uninstall an Android app or game: from the Play Store or from the home screen/app drawer. We will first cover the Play Store method, which works the same for everyone.
Open the Play Store on your Android smartphone or tablet and tap the hamburger menu icon in the upper left corner.
Select “My Apps & Games” from the menu.
Switch to the “Installed” tab and find the app you want to uninstall.
Simply tap the “Uninstall” button from the app info page.
Confirm that you want to “Uninstall” the app from the popup.
So much! The application will be removed.
The second method will vary depending on the home screen launcher you are using and the skin of your device. In most cases, you can tap and hold an app icon to bring up a contextual menu.
Tap “Uninstall” in this menu.
A confirmation popup will ask if you are sure. Select “OK” to delete the application.
Some launchers let you drag the app icon to an “Uninstall” button. Others will have an “App Info” option in the contextual menu that takes you to a page in the Settings menu where you can uninstall the app. If you are not sure how it works with your launcher, use the Play Store method.
Disable Android Apps
Some Android apps cannot be uninstalled, but can be disabled. A disabled app won’t be removed from your device, but won’t be allowed to run in the background or appear in your app drawer.
Disabling is available for pre-installed apps that are not usually required for device operation. For example, if the Facebook app came pre-installed, you probably won’t be able to uninstall it, but it can be disabled.
To do this we will first swipe down from the top of the screen (once or twice depending on the manufacturer of your phone or tablet) and tap the gear icon to open the Settings menu.
Next, select “Apps & Notifications”.
For a complete list of installed applications, see “All [Sayı] Tap on “See Apps”.
Select the app you want to uninstall/disable.
On the app info page, you will see “Uninstall” or “Disable” option. Tap.
A popup will ask you to confirm that you want to disable the app. Tap “Disable App” to continue
If the application cannot be disabled, the option is grayed out.
That is all. A disabled app remains on your device and can be re-enabled at any time.
